Andrea Kovács-Balogh,

Owner of the "von Yesbe" kennel since 2010. In 2003, at the age of 15, I passed my first BH-level exam with my own dog, and in 2006, I became a certified dog trainer through the Hungarian Kennel Club (MEOE). In 2008, I passed my first IPO3 exam with my first German Shepherd, who was also my founding female: Yesbe von Karthago. She was a German-imported female originating from a world-leading working dog kennel. I have preserved her bloodline in my kennel for 22 years across 6 generations. During my university studies, I wrote my thesis on service dogs with highest honors in 2011 (Zrínyi Miklós National Defence University), and on German Shepherd breeding in 2020 (John von Neumann University). Representing Hungary, I competed at the IGP World Championship and earned a national championship title in tracking. In 2020, I became an international FCI working dog performance judge. I regularly organize canine events and judge at working dog exams and competitions.

Through my future work, I want to contribute to the promotion of dog sports and dog culture, helping as many people as possible fall in love with this wonderful sport, dog training, and this amazing breed: the German Shepherd. My goal is to breed healthy German Shepherds with a balanced temperament and strong natural drives—dogs that excel both as working dogs and family companions, and are beautiful in appearance as well. I don't make a living from dogs; I live for them. I am not motivated by money—working with dogs is my passion and my life's path.
